Red Carpet Studio is having a Layout challenge this week and it's a silent layout. Honestly I've never tried that. I've always had some word or other near my pictures. So I thought I'd give this a go and I love how it turned out. I've been working on scrapbooks for my kids from when I conceived to their 2nd birthday. when they're pregnant i'll gift it to them so they have family health information etc. as well as what was normal for me and questions I had when I was pregnant and answers I received; as well as some of the ridiculous old wives tales that other's tried to force down my throat. Anyway here is my Silent Layout with a picture of my youngest daughter Allison. I love this page; i think it's my new favorite!
I used a giraffe page from DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl paper pack (that I won from Pink By Design's 2 yr. anniversary blog hop) and since it's a 12x12 stack I cut it to 8 1/2 x 11 (since that's the size of album i made) then layered my photo onto some scrapbook paper I really like and had scraps laying around and adhered it all down. Simple!
and for some reason my camera isn't working correctly so i'll update this blog later with my picture. drat!
Excellent! my husband is a genius... I don't know what he did but he fixed it.
What a great layout! The paper is so pretty and the photo is precious. Thanks so much for joining us for our first challenge at Red Carpet Studio. I hope you'll continue to play along with us.

what a cute giraffes. I love their gentleness! I learned about picmonkey.com, it's a free photo editing program so you can crop, fix the colors, etc. It makes a big difference in photos.
