PBD Sketch Challenge

I haven't made a scrapbook page in a while but this challenge inspired me to get one done.  I had some old Christmas paper laying around in my stash and I decided to put them all together to create this beaute...

PBD Ombre Challange

For the Ombre Challange I made a really cute mother's day card.  I used a dark pink card base that measures about 5 1/2 x 4 3/8 and used the summer smiles collection from Create-A-Page Scrapbooking supplies that I got for $1 at Target back in 2009 and love.  I cut a silhouette of a dress form and added some  pink pearls along the waist then added some sparkly ribbon I got from my Sister-in-law when she was cleaning out her craft room.  then I used a stamp that my mom gave me for Christmas (not sure what line it's from but you can find them at JoAnn) it says, "Happy Mother's Day".

PBD Silhouette Challenge

Sorry I didn't give to many details about the previous challenges.  pinkbydesignstamps is having a 2 year anniversary and their challenges are posted every hour.  the first closed right when I realized i'd posted to challenge #2 so I deleted it and oh well, I miss one. :/

Anyway here is my silhouette card "Thanks Sew Much"  it's pretty simple and isn't the best I've ever made but I love the silhouette of a dress form so I'll probably embellish on this card.  I made a tri-fold card that when laid out measures 4 1/2" by 11 1/2".  then I just put down some paper, stamped my sentiments; layered them and glued it all together.  I really don't like how simple it looks (and like it's my first card ever) but i'll be redoing it soon when I figure out what I really want it to look like.

Embossing Challenge

I love making cards that are unique.  I saw a design for a flower pot card on splitcoaststampers.com and I just had to jump with it.  I made a 6x4 card and added a pretty patterned paper to it then arranged my leaves that I punched out with Stampin' up's "blossom petals builder" punch (121808 in their 2011-2012 idea book and catalog) that my MIL gave me.  then using my silhouette I cut out the flowers and flower pot pieces.  I then mounted the rim of the flower pot on blue card stock and trimmed it so that It had a pretty boarder.  Oh before gluing it down I inked all the pieces of the flower pot.  then I inked a craft stick to look like a stem and punched a hole out of one end then put the brad through the flower and into the stem so it stays together.  I then stamped a butterfly on the pot and heat embossed it with a pink glaze.  it's a little hard to see in a picture and next time i'll use pink powder instead of glaze.  but I still think it's really cute.

Favorite Holiday Challenge

one of my many favorites is Christmas.  for this card I got  a 6x4 blank card base from my mother-in-law while she was cleaning out all her stuff.  and using my silhouette cameo I cut snowflakes out of patterned paper that I liked and then some snowmen and their accessories .  after gluing everything down I stamped Home for the Holidays inside.

Home Decor Challenge

I've always loved having my height chart from when I was a kid and I wanted to make some for my daughters.  So I made each their own with their names on the top. I typed their names into my silhouette studio and after cutting them out I inked the letters and put in their stats from a printout the Dr. gave me.  they're both so excited to put them up and mark their new height.

Best birthday ever

So for my 26th birthday I thought it would be awesome to have a themed birthday party that would allow me the excuse of crafting fun things. So for my birthday, probably inspired by a recent free kindle book, I thought it'd be fun to do An Alice in Wonderland birthday tea. I invited my brother and his new girlfriend. We had fruit pizza, chicken salad sandwhiches, lemonade because my hubby doesn't like tea in any form, and a double layered lemon cake that said, "Eat Me" on it. My wonderful husband led me to believe he handmade a gift for me, so I was excited about his efforts, and then gave me a handmade card with a clue on it leading me, eventually, to this website: http://www.consoletutorials.net/giftcard/giftcard.html

I passed the tests eventually and got my last clue so headed to the trunk to find a silhouette cameo!
http://www.silhouetteamerica.com/

these are my invitations:
I used the pizza box tutorial that Sarah showed us recently but made it smaller so that it would fit a small candy etc.  then pasted the mad hatter picture on the inside (i found it on a google search along with the white rabbit) tied a bow around it and had instructions and the invite itself inside the box with a chocolate truffle.

So after playing with it since Saturday, after the party etc, I made a bunch of awesome stuff I'd like to share...

this is my link up with Link up Tuesdays; Sarah Hamer Designs, Pink By Design.
I don't have any of their stamps yet but I just had to share these super cute cards as well as some other's I created with my Silhouette Cameo.

a previous attempt at a flower pot card.  with an embossed butterfly in pink... but that's hard to see.
Very simple flower card, inside says, "thinking of you".
this was on the silhouette cameo online store as Masculine birthday card.

this one is one of my favorites... probably because i'm training to be a personal trainer through ISSA (http://www.issaonline.edu/)

i'll post more as I come up with them. :D
