Happy We-eve everyone! My husband and I like to call it we-eve because it's the eve of the weekend. Hope it's been a good week for everyone.  It's sure been a busy one for me; but I got 5 hrs of studying in today and that was a relief!  I have until Dec. 12th to certify or i'll have to pay more money for an extension on my exams.  anyway I have a couple of projects for tonight so lets get to it.

Wine...Pumpkin...Moss

I used paper from DCWV match makers 2 neutrals card stock stack in the colors of wine, pumpkin & moss.  I cut the spider web background, leaf and spider on my cameo glued everything to a white card base added lots of glitter glue and some googly eyes and a polka dot ribbon.  The leaf is on a home made wobble; I think I should have done the card base in moss and the web in white but oh well I guess.
This little cutie is from SVG cuts Acorn autumn.  I just had to make one for my living room :)  and I can hide my candy in it so I wont eat it all at once. Score!

Good night all and happy crafting this weekend!

Oh boy what to name this?! Birthday, Challenges, Creations etc.

Good evening everyone,

Gwenna's 4th birthday party went really well; not really as planned but still good.  No other kids but all family and that's okay.  So today I have a lot of projects to share.

Allison asleep after eating her cupcake!

We decorated our own cupcakes

Gwenna's fav. birthday present!

beautiful Jewlery Box!

My First project is one I put together  from craft items from the dollar store!  Contains: Yellow Ribbon, Orange leaves, Yellow flowers, red bush twig thingies, 2 pkgs (diff. colors) of styrafoam fall squash, Hot Glue gun, wire cutters, floral wire & floral tape.  I've always wanted to have a cute, homemade fall decoration & I finally got all the pieces I wanted so I put this together.
My Basket here is one that I keep in my craft room cause I like a bit of green!  well I had leftovers from my wreath so I added some floral wire and stuck everything higglty-piglty till I liked the look.

This falling leaf card and envelope is from SVGcuts.com (falling leaf card) and i'm entering it into Stuck on U Sketches challenge: We Rake, We Pile, We Jump http://stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/  I love the look of this card and its a slider (so I watched the tutorial on their website). Amazing! I'm definetly going to make more.  the paper is from my scrap stash and the brads are from my sister.  the ribbon is from Porters and I used foam adhesive mini circles.

This project is my first embossing adventure from when I was 16.  My grandma made these to sell and she taught my sister and I when we came to visit one summer.  I did this with an awl, foam mat and a copy of some beautiful roses.  then I just added some colored chalk to the back; added some ribbon etc.  I like it a lot (obviously cause I still have it).

dry embossed edge

I made this one right before I got married in 2006; I wanted to reduce my picture stash and so I made this unfolding mini album.  I don't remember where my M.I.L. got the instructions but she made my husband something like this for Christmas one year and I liked it so much I wanted to make one too.

This storm trooper card is a png file I found on pinterest and I just love star wars so I decided to make this card just for me :)  I'm entering this card into the Red Carpet Studio Challenge: Sci-Fi http://redcarpetstudiochallenge.blogspot.com/

This box is from simple match box file from Lettering Delights.  I added a window with a flourish (don't ask how... I have no idea but jin on http://underacherrytree.blogspot.com/ has a tutorial on how to do this with the word hello (posted a day or two ago) and I wanted to keep our used candles in it so that they'd stop breaking.  I made the belly band by merging circles together and the little candle on the front I made myself.  Inside there is a false bottom (like those in crayon boxes) that I made myself as well.  I'm entering this into Peachy Keen Stamps 3-D challenge #36: Candle http://www.peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/ On the back is stamped Happy Birthday.

close up of my witch's face

this little Gem is made by cutting 9 2x2 squares, 3 in the green with black spots, 3 in black & 3 in yellow.  then I cut the green & black squares into triangles and 2 of the yellow ones into triangles.  then I used this cute little witch from Lettering Delights (costume clubhouse).  Isn't she so cute?  I added sparkly black glitter glue on her boots and belt so it would shimer then poped her up with adhesive mini circles.  I'm entering this little cutie in HIMCR# 64 http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com/ The rules say: "The challenge this week, the 4th week of the month, is Mix it Up SATURDAY:  Halloween Style!  This can be ANY project with a Halloween theme!" Also in the little scrap pieces challenge: Use Black & Green @ http://littlescrappieces.blogspot.com/2012/09/fun-friday-use-black-green-challenge.html & in the cameo spotlight: Triangles @ http://thecameospotlight.blogspot.com/

Picture of Christ by Simon Dewey

I made this in 2007 when I was pregnant with my first daughter and still working at Porters Craft & Frame in Rexburg, Id. I used some scrap mat board and used a bind-it-all that the store allows you to use while there, after you buy your paper and other materials, of course.  And since I was training I thought it would be good to know how to use one of these properly.
Well today is my brother's birthday and since i've started blogging i've made a plethora of birthday cards but I've been super busy trying to get everything in order.  I have the card but now I have to go make dinner.  It's my first time making Lomo Saltado (an old family favorite) so I hope all of you have a wonderful day / days till I next post.  Happy Crafting everyone!

News of the day and lots of projects! enjoy!

Today has been hectic! to say the least.  My kids got me up at around 8 am (which to me is too early; esp. if I went to bed at around 1 which I did).  then after getting my migraine under control and feeding the kids I cleaned the house for Gwenna's party tomorrow and re-washed the laundry that was still in the machine since yesterday morning; cleaned up the pee spill in the kitchen, got the 2 year old out of the forbidden pit in the living room (it has books and things in it that need to stay away from kid fingers); took away cough drops that the kids found by my bed.  Then folded all the clean laundry (three loads worth) with my 2 & 4 year old helping all the while.  then answered all my emails (over 45 received over night; which might not seem like much to some of you) Then as I was finishing up 8 new projects I got the girls lunch, their 5th pair of clean clothes today, clean up the yogurt and orange juice that was spilled in the living room.  then cleaned up a pee mess in the kitchen and another in the forbidden pit (pit of despair to those who live here); throw away a few books that were soaked with pee :'( and re address my brother's congratulations baby card cause it came back to us :-/ Next my husband and I went searching for my daughter's magic underpants (they're there one second and gone the next... thank goodness she's not 16 yet). then the older daughter put shampoo all over her (dressed) younger sister's head and face so we gave the 2 year old a tearful impromptu bath (at least she smells better than after the said yogurt incident).  But even in all of this chaos I still love those little monsters and i'll get up tomorrow morning and do it all over again...

Anyway...
Thanks for listening to my rant and now onto my projects and their corresponding challenges etc.

1) First project I made for some sisters at my church that I plan on visiting this month.  the sketch is from stuck on U sketches but this one is for Link Up for Pink.  I loved the sketch so I had to use it and I saw this corset card on the silhouette store so I shrunk it down to fit on a little match book box.  the matchbook box is from Lettering Delights and the paper is from a paper pack I picked up at Porters.  Inside I put some candies (mostly so I wouldn't eat them).

http://www.linkupforpink.com/

2) Second project is for Stuck on U sketches based on this sketch: and I liked the box I made for link up for pink and so I decided to do another one for Stuck on U.  I really liked this gray paper so I used it instead of another pink box.

http://stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/

3) Third Project: this one is for 3 Girl Jam : coffee and ribbon  I don't drink coffee so I don't have many stamps that would go with this but I found a png file of a coffee bean and I have a stamp that says "How've ya Bean" ! love it :)

http://3girljamchallenge.blogspot.com/

4) Fourth Project: I made this cute little birthday card with 3 balloons for Made Especially for U weekly challenges (this one was 3 of an object; and the object was balloons) :)  I thought it would be a good boy card or something.

http://especiallymade.blogspot.com/p/weekly-challenge_9002.html

5) Fifth Project:  This one I really wanted to use some cut outs that I made and stored away for a rainy day.  while today is sunny and nice in Rexburg, Id I still wanted to use these cute houses!  And the stamp says "From our house to yours"! this is for Ispy sketches: ISSC34

6) Sixth Project: This next card was inspired by Bright Wish Kanzashi Studios http://www.flickr.com/photos/brightwishkanzashi/ I chose the dragonflies.  this card is for The Paper Cabana #3 & for Cardz TV: Bling.
I got a png file of dragonflies and cut out the tracing of the outside for this project.  I used glitter glue, rhinestones and pearls for the bling.

(BRB my 2 year old found more cough drops and apparently my lip stick also... all right it was cough drops but not lip stick... it was my only cherry access bar [for working out; from Melaleuca] and now I think I want to give up...)

Links:
The paper Cabana:  http://www.thepapercabana.com/

okay I can do this... only 2 more projects to blog and then I can... I donno get my frustrations out through cleaning or something... or take a nap...

7) Project Seven:  is for DL.Art Halloween/ Fall colors or owl or all and Retro Sketch #29.  I bought a candy corn cut file from the silhouette online store and used  my Halloween stamps I received for Christmas a year or two ago and some white embossing powder to make this cute little card.

8) Eighth Project: this one is for CRAFT challenge #173 ~Children; and I loved the matchboxes that I made earlier that I wanted to make a bigger one this time.  I also used Costume Clubhouse cut it set from Lettering Delights for the boy and his bucket!  so cute and it reminded me of my 4 year old, Gwenna, cause she has a basket just like that she takes trick or treating.  I used some glitter glue to make the mask and the bandages pop as well as some Recollections foam adhesive mini circles as well as some velcro I bought at Walmart in their sewing department.

Happy Crafting everyone and hope you all join in on the fun at these great challenges!
